The First Fire

Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth,

for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire:

it is the time for home. ~Edith Sitwell

ooh, it does look nice! Found it's turned chilly here in Guernsey over past couple of days! Winter is definitely on the way.

That looks so nice! I can hardly wait to get our fireplaces up and running. We've had a few chilly nights and I love the warmth of burning wood.

I have never lived in a house with a fireplace. One of my big dreams for whatever house I end up in. I love the smell, the popping sound of the wood burning.
After seeing this picture I asked Keith when he is going to get me some wood. The rental we are in right now has a great fireplace. :)

Ok ... we are coming into summer here so the last thing I want is a fire burning in my living room ! BUT ... what I would like is to take a trip to somewhere cold and snuggle up in front of a fire with Rory !! Yeah, that sounds great !!

Thank you for your loving comments. As one who encourages, it's always humbling to be the one encouraged - but you blessed me so much. I could feel you pulling me out of the mud with strong hands! Love you.
