Broken Objects
When the Japanese mend broken objects,
they aggrandize the damage by filling the cracks with gold.
They believe that when something's suffered damage
and has a history it becomes more beautiful.
~Barbara Bloom
Is God filling my cracks with gold when I get damaged? Does He believe that I become more beautiful after I have suffered?

What a neat way to think of it. I did not know that the Chinese repaired their vases with gold. I like the thought of being repaired with gold. Thanks for sharing.
What a beautiful illustration! I like that idea.
Girl that is great.
My cracks have greater value than the rest of me. Too funny!:)
I must be worth a lot of $!! Those really were inspiring words!
I never knew this! How cool is that!? You rock, Ally!
I have a post I never have finished & it is about the whole concept of beauty out of brokennes! I LOVE the simplicity of yours, it lets the facts speak so clearly!
I love that thought...and if it were true then I must be shining with all the gold in my cracks (HA!). I always tell people that God likes to use the "cracked pots".
