There are no ugly women!

This photo was taken at a competition in June 2006. The competition was between 9 women for best makeover. They had every possible beauty treatment available to them over a period of 12 hours before the contest. Conclusion - there are no ugly women * (see below), only poor women.... If you had the money....Good Grief!!! The woman 2nd from the left won the contest.

I am like most of you and go for the natural look myself....but the reason I liked this so much is because you can see that ordinary people can look like movie stars after all the make up and air brushing..... Remember not all what we "see" is real and we must not let ourselves be influenced by these images. Our self esteem and worth are based on other things......

They look good, but alas - I don't have endless time or money for that! Besides, I really prefer the natural look!

Are these ladies from the "Swans" programme that was on TV? There were some very moving journeys. Ah to have my teeth whitened, a few nips and tucks here and there...

Oh my that's crazy Ally! I think the natural look is more approachable and easy to maintain. Yikes, not only do you need the money to transform your look but you need it to maintain it too! How ever will these ladies do it I wonder?

Those looks really wouldn't work for me. Can you imagine me in a dress like that trying to clean the house and change diapers? I'll have to stick with the natural, besides, I can't afford all the treatments!

Amazing what a little money and skill can do! Wow! Now if only we would spend as much time on our inner beauty without neglecting the outer! LOL!

Those makeovers are amazing ! Love to get dressed up occasionally - dont we all! - but I also like the natural look. There are a few things I would like to change about my outward appearance but God is too busy working on my inner being - He's got his hands full with me !!

You know, I have always thought that money made the diff...as far as the outer like you say! No matter how into the natural we are...we all want to be pretty! Just not everyone can afford it! It's amazing what good beauty treatments can do! I'm happy they got a chance to experience something diff...sometimes we have to see the outside before we can "feel" it on the inside...maybe this helped them?

Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to say we should buy into our culture's wrong priorities, but. Balance! Balance is good!

Hey, Ally, I can't remember if I have told you or not, but I left you a present you have to look 2-3 posts down to find it! But, I hope you like it!

God bless!

How are you doing?

Very true.

Hollywood could make anyone look like a million bucks. Some "stars" truly look frightening without their masks on!!!

Inevitably beauty fades. I wish it didn't, but you are right it is what is on the inside that truly counts.
